The Joys of Commuting

A friend of mine, Gordon, moved from the Mainland to the Island. He had all of his Contact numbers in his iPhone for dialing from Vancouver.

When he moved he realized that he needed to add a '1' in front of his Contacts to call them from Victoria.

He'd downloaded PUSHoneCode and by chance realized that there was the solution to his problem.

PUSH puts a '1' in front of every number dialed from your cell whether it is a local call or long distance. The calls go through with a '1' even if they are local.

He was able to add all new contacts to his phone using PUSHoneCode and saving the numbers to call later.

Gordon is a very old friend and it is rewarding to see him acknowledge that I've done good...

When you 'get it' you buy it

Lately I have been working on a Movie, over the craft service table and a cup of tea, I was talking about our iPhone App.
The Art Director on the Movie is from S. Africa, when I tell him PUSH makes it easier to call Internationally he 'got it' and he bought it.

Traveling across America in an RV?

When traveling across America, would it be useful to have an iPhone App that uses
GPS to bring up all the local area codes? So you don't have to look them up...
or dial them for that matter!

If you don't know exactly where you are your dialer will tell you using GPS too.
No need to open up Google Maps and wait for it to load. This App will also make
calls to International countries easier because it knows how to call out of
N America. You just tell it where to call and it will bring up all the right
country codes, exit codes etc to make your call in just seconds.

The ease this App brings into your travels is palpable. www.pushonecode.com.

It's in the iTunes App store! Thanks

Days of November

Every year around this time there is a 'smell' or a change of the angle of light from the sun that triggers an urge to fly South.

The birds must get the same messages... It is no wonder that a lot of Canadians find themselves heading to warmer climates in droves every winter.  Makes you think, are we part bird? Some think we did evolve from animals and still have those parts in our primitive brain.

Are we creating new parts? What will we evolve into next? Our brains grew when we started eating fish, now that everything we eat is loaded with corn...what is that going to do to our brains and bodies?

Our bodies are growing fat, we are more sedentary, maybe we will turn into a form of Walrus or Sea Lion? After all I was told that Sea Lions used to be Grizzly Bears or vice versa...that info was from an Eco Tour Guide while at Sonora Resort off the coast of BC.

So it must be true...

Anyways what has that got to do with PUSH? When you 'Fly' South, remember you can use the  PUSHoneCode App to make calls in N America. Why dial extra numbers when PUSH does it for you.

N American Numbering Plan

There is an organization that keeps track of all the telephone exchanges and numbering for N America. It is called the N American Numbering Plan.

There has to be interconnected planning on numbering for all countries in all continents to avoid overlapping area codes.

To help keep them separate, each country has an entry code and then area codes afterwards. If two countries had the same entry code it would cause a meltdown in the communications system.

So far we have avoided that!
