There is an organization that keeps track of all the telephone exchanges and numbering for N America. It is called the N American Numbering Plan.
There has to be interconnected planning on numbering for all countries in all continents to avoid overlapping area codes.
To help keep them separate, each country has an entry code and then area codes afterwards. If two countries had the same entry code it would cause a meltdown in the communications system.
So far we have avoided that!

Finally! PUSHoneCode iPhone App's GPS is working....
Finally! GPS is working for iPhone App PUSH! We must have been restricted by Apple in some way. GPS is a rather integral part of PUSH!
It is what sets it apart from the rest....So anyone who has PUSH go try it again. Remember to save most used area codes to your Favorites for times when GPS fails you.
Because PUSH replicates most functions of the phone, you can slip PUSH into your main toolbar and keep the Apple Phone nearby for the two things we are not allowed to do.
One is delete a Contract from your list. Two is tracking recent calls. PUSH can do everything else AND dial all of your Area Codes for you!
Truly BLISS for anyone who dials phone numbers all day!

Calling Ireland
Hear stories all the time when I show people PUSHoneCode the iPhone App.
The Production designer on a TV series I worked on, is an Irish Dynamo. She still has family in the old country and has trouble calling home every time.
She forgets what country code and exit code she needs to call home....do you have those troubles too?
You can look up the codes in one App then you have to switch over to your phone to dial it. By using PUSHoneCode you select the country and the App does the rest. It knows where you are calling from so it adds the correct prefix and all you do is add the last few digits to complete your call from North America (Soon Internationally too).
